Fence & Gate Repair
Fence & Gate Repair in Fresno, CA
Leaning posts, sagging gates, wind damage — fixed, not replaced.
Not every fence problem is a new fence. A leaning post, a gate that has dropped an inch, three panels flattened by a spring windstorm, a section a car backed into — those are repairs, and they cost a fraction of a replacement. Repair work is a real part of what AR Fence does, with before-and-after jobs on the books to show for it.
The honest part matters here too. If the posts are sound and the problem is above ground, we will fix what is broken and leave the rest of your fence alone. If the posts have rotted off at the concrete along the whole run, patching one section just moves the failure two panels over, and we will tell you that instead of selling you a repair that fails next winter.
Options
What We Repair
Send a photo when you call or text — most of the time we can give you a direction before we even come out.
Leaning and broken posts
Posts reset in fresh concrete, or a steel post sleeved in where a wood post has rotted off at the ground line.
Wind and storm damage
Blown-over panels re-hung or rebuilt, rails replaced, and the run re-strung straight. Common after Valley spring winds.
Sagging and dragging gates
Gates re-squared, re-braced and re-hung on hardware that can actually carry them, with the gate post reset if that is the real problem.
Loose or damaged chain-link
Fabric re-stretched and re-tied, torn mesh sections replaced, bent top rail swapped, and rusted bottom edges addressed.
Rotted or split boards
Individual pickets and rails swapped out, with a rot board added along the bottom so it does not happen again.
Vehicle and impact damage
Sections rebuilt from the posts out — the most common single-section replacement we do.
Hardware replacement
Hinges, latches, drop rods, cane bolts, tension bands and post caps.
Our process
How a Repair Runs
- Step 1
Text us a photo
A picture of the damage and a rough idea of the length tells us most of what we need to know before scheduling.
- Step 2
Free estimate on site
We look at the whole run, not just the broken part, so the price you get accounts for what we actually find.
- Step 3
Repair or replace — straight answer
You get told which one your fence needs and why. Sometimes the honest answer is that a repair buys you a season and a replacement is the better spend.
- Step 4
Fix and clean up
Broken material leaves with us, the repaired section is left matching the rest as closely as the material allows.

Questions
Fence & Gate Repair FAQs
The questions we get asked most about this kind of work.
Do you repair fences you didn't build?
Yes, most of our repair work is on fences somebody else installed. Material and style matching is usually possible; if it is not, we will tell you before we start.
My gate drags on the ground. Is that fixable?
Almost always. A dragging gate is either a racked frame or a leaning gate post, and both are repairable — re-square and brace the frame, or reset the post in fresh concrete. Replacing the whole gate is rarely necessary.
How fast can you come out?
Call or text and we will tell you honestly where you land in the schedule. Repairs are usually quicker to fit in than a full install, and a photo up front speeds it up.
Is it cheaper to repair or replace?
If the posts are sound, repair — by a wide margin. If posts have failed along the whole run, the repair cost starts approaching a new fence and you would be paying twice. We will show you which situation you are in.
