Sanger sits east of Fresno on Highway 180, the road that carries on up to Kings Canyon. It is close enough to us that a Sanger job is a normal working day, and the town has a nice mix of work: older residential streets near downtown with fences well past their service life, newer subdivisions on the north and west edges, and citrus and stone-fruit ground on every side.
The east side of Sanger is where the valley floor starts tilting toward the foothills, and that changes the fence.
